OUR VISION: An engaged and unified community that explores and embraces Pilipin@/Pilipin@ American identities, fosters personal and collective growth through relevant education, advocates for social justice in coalition with other communities, and creates a sense of family within and beyond the university.
WORKING MISSION STATEMENT 2007-2008: Samahang Pilipino: 1) educates, organizes, and advocates for the Pilipin@/Pilipin@ American community on and off campus; 2) is an inclusive and open environment that promotes diversity through relevant education to cultivate personal and collective identity/growth; 3) works to create a sense of family and appreciation for all cultures as we create progressive social change.

Next Exit: Historic Filipinotown Tour

October is Pilipino American History Month [PAHM]. Celebrate by coming out to know OUR history!

Did you know that ...Pilipinos have a place to call their own in Los Angeles? ...Los Angeles is home to one of the oldest Pilipinotowns in the nation? ...there was even a Historic Pilipinotown at all?

Come out Saturday, October 13th with Samahang Pilipino @ UCLA and Kappa Psi Epsilon to take a tour of OUR community!

Meet at Sproul turnaround @ 7:45am, leaving at 8:00am.


Bottles of water will be provided. WEAR comfortable clothes and BRING some pocket money for lunch. YES, WE WILL BE GRUBBIN ON SOME PILIPINO FOOD!
