OUR VISION: An engaged and unified community that explores and embraces Pilipin@/Pilipin@ American identities, fosters personal and collective growth through relevant education, advocates for social justice in coalition with other communities, and creates a sense of family within and beyond the university.
WORKING MISSION STATEMENT 2007-2008: Samahang Pilipino: 1) educates, organizes, and advocates for the Pilipin@/Pilipin@ American community on and off campus; 2) is an inclusive and open environment that promotes diversity through relevant education to cultivate personal and collective identity/growth; 3) works to create a sense of family and appreciation for all cultures as we create progressive social change.

16th Annual Festival of Philippine Arts and Culture
Theme for this year:
"Handog"/Offering
When: Sept 8 and 9, 10am to 6pm (on both days)
Where: San Pedro, Ca. (Pt. Fermin Park)

...SAMAHANG PILIPINO!

This weekend is the Festival of Philippine Arts and Culture and Samahang Pilipino will be spending the last days of Summer with the community enjoying the music, the art, and the culture. Come and join us. Admission is $5. Parking is FREE! Email communityprojects@samahang.org if you're here in LA for the Summer and you need a ride (I'm sure BOARD members can accomodate ; ]...).

Festival of Philippine Arts and Culture

Please come and join Samahang Pilipino and the rest of the Pilipino community in Southern California at the 16th annual Festival of Philippine Arts and Culture. Year after year Samahang has always been a major supporter of FPAC and the advocacy of the arts in our community.

This year's theme for the festival is "Handog" which means offerring or gift. This year FPAC hopes to instill the culture of giving within our community to ensure that our arts and culture is thriving throughout our community.

When: Sept 8-9
Where: Pt. Fermin Park in San Pedro
Admission: $5
